I was in grade 5 when I started to playing tennis. My uncle taught me how to play and he always wanted me to fight against other players. After that, I thought tennis is all about competing with others.
Together with my friend, we joined our first tournament in school. We are proud that we won that tournament. Next is the Unit Meet, we also won. Next is the Provincial Meet. We are very prepared in that day but we have no luck, we both lose the Provincial Meet.
After we lose, I started to hate and quit tennis because maybe it’s not my sport. Next week I went to the Tennis Court not wearing tennis attire. I saw my friend still playing tennis and after he plays I ask to him, “Why would you still play tennis if there is no tournament? The next tournament will be held next year”.
Then he smiled and replied “My friend, I did not play tennis not just to compete, I play tennis because it makes me happy and I enjoyed playing it. And then I realize that when I play tennis, I always focusing on how to win but I forgot to enjoy the game.
After that day, I play tennis then I started to enjoy the game and I notice that I actually enjoy the game. After that game, I started again to love tennis and until now I really love tennis.
